Alej comes running back with Roland and Quiberron close behind. “They’re telling the truth,” he shouts as he slams around the doorway and tumbles into the guard house.
The older guard appears and hands Flynn his ring. He then leans in and whispers something to the retired knight. When he steps back, he makes a motion with his hand for the gate to be opened, and the portcullis rises. Quiberron nods to everyone. “How’s the search for the scorpion venom going? I expected to find you at the apothecary. What is everyone doing here at the gates?” He then leans over toward Tyrects and Rallaak and asks quietly, “Are we leaving? Has this town become unsafe for us already?” "Unsafe?” Tyrects replies. “Not sure I've ever been safe. No, I found Rallaak and the rest here. Apparently we need to go gather help from some medicine woman of some kind. But I've gotten pulled into some sewer slops bull with the loud one." "Sewer slops? I thought we were discoursing on the nature of bravery!” Terrence argues. “Well, not to worry—did you know that nine out of ten commoners rate their fear of public speaking higher than their fear of goblins? Oh good! The gods-damned gate is open. Let's go buy scorpion poison.” Tyrects gestures for Terrence to go ahead. "Lead on, Sir Loudfire, lead on." Comments are closed.
