Quiberron feels more capable after hearing Roland’s speech. He turns to Del, who is walking beside him and has piqued his interest with her fox pendant. “What an interesting jewel you are wearing,” he says. “I see you hold it in special regard. Does it help to focus your magic? It doesn’t look like any thing that I have seen. Does the fox have a special meaning for you?”
Del flashes her pinkish eyes up at Quiberron. "I love foxes! They are so playful and brilliant. They can out trick hunters. I could watch them play in a glen all day." She looks down at her pendant. "I don't remember how I came about this. I tend to forget things." She looks thoughtful. "It does help my magic become magic, I think. I'm still learning how it all works." She enthusiastically looks up at Quiberron. "And what is your favorite forest animal? And do you magic?"
Quiberron looks slightly sad at her response. “I’m sorry to hear you have trouble remembering things,” he says. “I try to remember or write down everything I learn. Knowledge is important. Anyhow, yes, I definitely do magic, and my favorite animal is probably the owl.” As he says this, he grins, and a soft hoot is audible from where Bart is circling in the sky above them.
"I know a few letters. Um... Maybe three." Del smiles up at the owl. "The owl is beautiful. Look at his wingspan."
